Jennifer WALSHE (Dublin) studied composition with John Maxwell Geddes at the Royal Scottish Academy, and Kevin Volans in Dublin. She received her doctoral degree in composition from Chicago’s Northwestern University in 2002. Her works are performed internationally by such groups as ensemble recherche, Apartment House, the Bozzini Quartet, Chronophonie, and Psappha. She has received commissions from the Darmstadt and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festivals, Wien Modern, as well as for the 2006 ISCM World New Music Days. Currently Walshe is living in Berlin as a guest of the DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm. (SOURCE — Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland)
