Andreas MAIER (1973). After lessons in piano, organ, contrabass and clarinet, and following studies in musicology in Erlangen, Maier finished his degree in composition at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. This was complemented with studies in musicology and philosophy. He has undertaken residencies at IRCAM (Paris) and STEIM (Amsterdam), and has worked as a musician and tutor at the Musikhochschule Freiburg, Bayreuth University, Experimentalstudio der Heinrich-Strobel-Stiftung des SWR and at klangkonzepte. He is currently living and working as a musician and music teacher in Lindenberg (Allgäu).
